The master's thesis deals with possible adjustments in the company's inventory replenishment strategy, which are in accordance with the analyzed factors of the external and internal environment of the company and which respond to the problems arising in the input logistics processes in which this strategy is implemented. The proposed strategy adjustments bring a new perspective on inventory management through inventory optimization and categorization according to differentiated inventory management approach, even in relation to inventories that are subject to deterioration.

This thesis deals with the general analysis and value stream improvement. The theoretical part describes the difference between functional and procedural model of company management, mutual benefits and disadvantages of these systems. The thesis deals with the mapping process, subdivision maps and methodology of process maps creation. The work also includes software analysis for process mapping. Next section contains search of selected optimization tools and methods to improve production flow and description of the principles of controlled documentation. In the practical part is realized mapping process of bachelor studies at FEKT and map of production process at ABB switchgear.

Optimizing Processes in the Assembly Shop

This thesis deals with the analysis and optimizing processes in the assembly shop in the company Alcaplast s.r.o. The theoretical part describes the methods of process analysis, modeling of processes and methods of their optimization. In the analytical part of the business processes are mapped on the example of the company and model contracts are defined by the bottleneck process. Based on detailed analysis of the outputs are designed to address bottlenecks and process evaluation.

The thesis is focused on the identification of service and administrative processes and sub processes inside the chosen company and proposal of their possible separation and outsourcing using the Business Process Management methods. Potential changes should be aimed to release capacity of the monitored team of the company and optimize their processes and related capacity during busy season and also from the long term perspective. The company set the conditions for potential changes by keeping current standards about quality of products and services and keeping current rules for client communication. Additionally company expects decreasing of personal costs related to inquired services.

The output is a process improvement proposal and evaluation of the benefits of the proposed changes.

Material management of order production

The thesis is focused on the mapping and subsequent improvement of processes within the Procurement and Logistics department for the monitored company division. Based on the findings from the analytical part and the identification of problematical areas, there are proposed steps that should lead to improvement of performance not only within the Procurement and Logistics department, but also within the division as a whole. The emphasis was put on eliminating of processes that were bringing no value as well as on material flow management.

Proposal for managing the production process in a manufacturing company from the point of view of orders

The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the production process in a selected company and proposes measures to ensure the smooth operation of the chosen process. The theoretical part presents principles and methods that are used to analyze the current state of processes and subsequent optimization. The analytical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the current state of the production process and the waste that occurs. The practical part is focused on proposing the optimization of machine inspection and readiness to prevent waste of machine downtime due to human factors.
